Storesafe is locally owned and operated by Sue Nash and Mike Bird. Sue’s parents originally established Storesafe in 2007. Five years later, in 2012, Sue and Mike purchased the family business. Since then they have increased the number of units to meet the demand for smaller-sized storage facilities and made other improvements to the facility.
Sue is a midwife who trained at Otago Polytech. She spent 20 years practising as a Lead Maternity Carer. At Storesafe, Sue takes care of the accounts and all contractual paperwork. Mike used to own Mike Bird Motors and is now retired. Mike takes care of all onsite repairs and maintenance at Storesafe and in his spare time likes to play golf.
